Search not working in Notes app

When I search my Notes on my Mac, it only shows a tiny fraction of the results that it does when I search the exact same word on my iPad.

My Notes are perfectly synced if I manually scroll through them, but for some reason (for example) the search on my Mac shows only 2 results, while on iPad or iPhone it shows 9.

Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks

I've got the same issue on my rMBP running El Capitan. Would be nice if there is a fix for this...
