Search sender feature degraded in iOS 16

Previously an option popped up while searching mail that allowed to search within the sender field. For example, I could search sender for Amazon and only receive emails sent directly from Amazon. Now I get every spam email mentioning Amazon. Is there a workaround for this? It was one of my favorite Mail features as even the Outlook app doesn’t allow it.

For me as well. How can we get it back?
I have 2 phones. One I am purposely not upgrading as I use the sender search quite a lot.

I wish I knew this feature was going to be removed before I updated. I have not found a solution but please let us know here if you find something.
