Hi

We run a graphics studio and we have about 10,000 images on our server. We use iView media (which comes with Toast) to create contact sheets of images and, most of the time we can find what we are looking for.

I'd like to find a programme that would allow us to search for images over the network using specific keywords. I'm hoping for something a bit like an istock or Getty style search. So I could add "consumers" "Guinness" "laughing" and it would give me a thumbnail of all the images we hold with those criteria.

I know it would be a big job to add key words or meta tags to each image, but it's something we could employ a graduate, or intern to do for us.

Does anyone have suggested programmes or workflows that could help us?

I had one suggestion to use Adobe Bridge, but I haven't investigated this properly yet.
