Second hand Mac advice

Theres a 2007 mac for sale near my area.

Screen has gone black, and the seller had it diagnosed as a GPU NVidia issue. The GPU chip needs to be reflowed or reballed.



Is this difficult? expensive fix?

That sounds like a dead Logic Board to me...I'd advise you to leave it alone. Imacs are not that easy to split and repair...Even a GPU replacement is hard. I'd look for a better deal.
