My old Powermac Dual G5 1.8 is defective. I consider to replace it by a Quad G5. I need a G5 because on this machine I run Mathcad and Minicad in the classic mode.
But the G5 had a liquid cooling system. Is this reliable for the long term or would it be better to buy a Dual G5 2.5 Ghz?

2.5 and 2.7GHz models are all watercooled and no, they are not reliable. Reports of leaking systems are all over the web.

If you want an air cooled machine get one of the late 2005 models, such as the 2GHz DualCore or 2.3GHz DualCore.
