Second hard drive esata and sata

I recently bought an SSD vertex 64gb for only 200$ cad. Unfortunately, I do not have enough space to install the Soundtrack Pro components on this drive. I recently bought too an eSata powered cable and a express card esata who came with it. The hard drive can't be detect on my macbook pro unibody late 2008 2,4" but runs. I install the silicon image drivers non-SL and adding over that the SL drivers.

In that case, I want to know how to uninstall those drivers from silicon image 3132?





I thought about another thing if it really not work eventually. The dvd-drive bay could be remplaced by an enclosure 2.5" for my factory 250gb 5400rpm.

Second question, Does this other hard drive will take a lot more power?

no one can light me on that road ?

I'll try a double esata card from Lacie and I'll foward 'cause my Factory A&S express card doesn't light on when I connect my hd.

That's odd. I have a pny double port eSata expresscard (bestbuy) that works with those same drivers.

Unfortunatly there're no PNY card in Canada Bestbuy, but I think the Lacie work. I'll just test it out return it to the dealer. I prefer get it from ebay eventually !

alright the double red esata port on the lacie card work very well but this is not a esatap port or Power Over eSata. I don't know if I should choose another esatap card on ebay and hoping that works on mac or getting a esata + usb card power my hd

Finally

I finally chose an external enclosure usb + esata powered by USB. I didn't find a way to order a power over esata express card to be absolutly sure to work from ebay. I decided to order a dynex dual esata card and the external case who has been described previously. Then I wait for my parcels.
