second hard drive unmounting

Hi I have a optibay SSD HD setup on my 2009 17" MBP. The problem that i'm experiencing is that the HD drive in first bay randomly unmounts, and if i restart the machine it doesn't come back unless i reset the PRAM. Is this pointing towards a faulty connector, I'm pretty sure it's not the Hard drive any advice would be appreciated.

I had a similar sounding issue when I knocked my MBP and loosened the connector to the hard drive, opening up the MBP and re-inserting the connector etc, sorted it all out.
