So I'm setting up my second Mac.

On my blackbook, my home directory is /Users/john and I know what a pain it is to change it in OSX.

Will there be any issues if I name my home directory the same thing (/Users/john) on my second Mac? Or would I be better off naming it something different like Users/JohnB or Users/John_B?

Are there any issues with this that I'm not aware of? This won't affect target disk mode or the ability to restore Time Machine backups, will it?

TIA

Sorry is this should've been in the OSX forum. Mods, feel free to move it if this is in the wrong place.

I don't think it would be a problem if you'd use the sam user name as long as you use different computer names.

And in Mac OS X Leopard it's not such a big problem to change his user name.

Thanks. Changing the user name is easy; changing the home directory, well, no so much... :)
