Hey guys,

Inspired in large part by eyoungren, and having an open ADC port and matching second monitor to spare, I've decided to go with a 2-monitor setup for my Digital Audio G4. If I want to have a second monitor hooked up through DVI, do I just need a passive ADC-DVI adapter? My video card is a G5 9600XT--the ADC power is not hooked up as I haven't done any hard mods to the card (yet). I did purchase an ADC monitor without realizing such a mod would be necessary, and have put plans for that monitor on temporary hold as a result.

Were I to mod in ADC power at a later point, would my card still support 2 DVI monitors? Thanks!

Yes, a passive ADC to DVI cable is needed. If you do add the ADC power to that card, you can still use the passive ADC to DVI adapter.
