Second Optical Bay (Another HD?)

I have 4TB of storage and I was thinking of getting a new macpro and I wanted to put those 4 TB drives inside but the problem is that it would leave me no space for a boot volume

I really only need one optical drive... hell I dont even need one/... except for os install I never use it

what i want to know is what is the connection on the mac pro optical drive?

I have already made the adaptor to use a dual HD in my MBP I want to set this up so i can put in a drive to boot off of can it be done... has anyone done it on here?

If there is a thread with pictures that would be wild

We don't know yet.

We assume it's just SATA.

a thread I started a few days ago... assuming the optical drives are SATA it should only need a simple 5.25" to 3.5" adapters such as the ones linked to in the above thread
