Second stupid question of the day...screening calls

Hello - me again!

So how do I screen telephone calls on the 3GS?? I just received a call from an unknown number and the only option I had was to slide the bar across which I presume puts me in touch with the speaker?? If I am busy, or don't recognise the number, how do I reject the call??

Hitting the button on top once will silence the call, hitting it twice will send it straight to voicemail.

Push the sleep/wake button onceto silence the ring/vibrate. Push it a second time to decline the call.

You can also touch the side volume controls to silence the phone from ringing/vibrating, and the caller will still hear the phone ringing.

And if you're using the phone, there is an option to decline (ignore) the call on the touch screen.
