I'm thinking about purchasing a secondary monitor for my MBP. It is the "DELL 22" HD LCD FLAT SCREEN MONITOR S2209W". I can't seem to confirm anywhere if the screen is matte or glossy? Would this be a good monitor to be placed beside my MBP? Thanks

yes, it's matte. most external monitors are.
As far as quality, it's a $159 monitor...nothing to write home about, a standard TN panel, standard port options, nothing special. Dell makes an OK product but it's still just an average monitor.
