I need a secure delete / hard-drive scrubber program for my Mac. I had such a program for my PC: it would write over blank space with garbage to ensure an unrecoverable deletion of files after emptying the trash (recycle bin).

Is there a good (hopefully free) one for the Mac?

I believe Secure Empty Trash is 7 pass. Not to mention what Disk Utility can do when formatting.
Secure Empty Trash doesn't do what I need. I need something that scrubs all "empty" space on the hard to make previously non-secure deleted files unrecoverable.

Disk utility can do it up to 37 times written over.
I'll check DU. But I think it erases the entire drive, not just the empty (non date) space. EDIT: Well, DU does have an "erase free space option" with 7- and 33-pass options! Very cool. Thanks :)

I'm looking for something like BCWipe, that will provide DoD quality secure deletion / hard drive scrubbing.
