Hi Guys,

I have used my macbook intensively last couple of years copying large files back and forth from my Nas servers. After installing Windows 8.1 via parallels i was not impressed with the battery performance so removed it, however since i have noticed my macbook has become quite sluggish.
I secure erase my PC ssd's once a year is there a similiar option for the macbook?
Thanks again

If you are talking about wiping the drive clean and starting over, the best thing to do is to enable Filevault (if not already)and then reboot to Disk Utility (via Command +R) to erase the drive and for new install process.

Thanks buddy, when i reinstall i just need wifi connection no USB ?

If you have a USB installer of Mavericks or Yosemite etc. that would be faster. That way you don't have to download the OS again. If you do the internet recovery route, it is going to install the OS that came with your computer, unless you have a Mavericks or Yosemite recovery partition.
