secure notes disappeared

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this question.

My secure notes normally available within keychain have disappeared. I changed my systems pwd recently but this is the only change that I can think of. I'm running Mojave 10.14.16 on a Macbook Pro.

Any hints/help appreciated.

If you go File > Add Keychain in Keychain Access, do you see any old/deleted versions of login.keychain? You can try opening it if so.

If not, you will need to have backed up before this happened with Time Machine or your own method
