Hi all,

I was wondering the other day if it is possible in some way to secure an iPhoto album. Yes porn might be an important issue to some, but as of late I've started to make some money off of the photographs I make and I'd like to be able to password lock it within my iPhoto environment, so my friends can look trough the public photos and thieves can't distribute my business photos.

My solution was this: make a sparse image via the disk utility, put in the photos I'd like to secure, password protect it and use this folder for the secured stuff. This way if you clicked the album in iPhoto the Finder would open up the image and by doing so, it asks for my password.
The flaw in this plan however is this. Unlike iTunes, there isn't (as far as I can find out right now) an option to appoint a (external)disk/image as a library or extension to a library. You HAVE to import the photos into your library.

Now I know there are programs to manage multiple photo libraries, but thats 1) too complicated, less manageable
2) costs money

Any ideas? I'm not the brightest of mind so I might have missed a solution.

Thanks!

i was actually wondering about this same thing....weird how people post what i was planning on posting before i do!!!!! :D please do share if anyone has any thoughts.
