For some odd reason whenever I put my computer to sleep then I would to wake it I am not being prompted to unlock the screen. I have removed the security preferences to see if I can reset the settings. But, it is still not responding to the prompt. I just recently added lacie external hard drive 500 GB. I have tried unplugging the drive and it still acts the same way. What could be the problem with?

I tried a restart but it didn't work. However, i remembered that I installed something from Lacie for a backup solution so I spotlight for any Lacie stuff and deleted anything in regards to it. Then I logged out and logged in now its being good about asking for a password at wake. I wonder if the lacie software is supposed to make the computer not ask for a password?
