Please excuse me if this issue has been raised before. Also, given that I am no longer using Mojave, it seems to not affect me. So, here goes.

I use Tech Tool Pro for disk cleanup. maintenance, and (rarely needed) repairs on my drives (primarily my internal SSDs), and earlier today, I received an EMail from them regarding security and the T2 chip in some newer Mac models. The two issues that caught my attention are 1) not being able to boot from an external device, and 2) not being able to restart my Mac from Tech Tool Pro's eDrive. Here is the "fix" to this problem:

I have a late 2018 Mac Mini which I purchased in February, but again I have been using Catalina since January, and thus am not having any issues with booting/restarting my Mac Mini from either an external SSD that has a SuperDuper! backup, or the eDrive I created with Tech Tool Pro.

Again, please excuse me if this issue has already been discussed, but if not, hopefully it can be of assistance.
