Hmm... doesn't show up in Software Update for me, yet.

Then I installed version 1.0 of this security update just 3 days ago...

Anyone know why a version 1.1 was necessary? Usually they only release that when the 1.0 is flawed...

Not in mine either...hope it fixes my iTunes probs though - it has been generating more spinning beachballs in the last few days than a spinning beachball factory...:(

It's in software update, at least in my system.

Doesn't appear to be a bug-fix for the earlier 1.0 update, more of an addendum:

Security Update 2006-002 is recommended for all users and improves the reliability and security of the following components:

apache_mod_php
CoreTypes
LaunchServices
Mail
Safari
rsync

Additionally, this update incorporates Security Update 2006-001, which improves the security of the following components:

apache_mod_php
automount
Bom
Directory Services
iChat
IPSec
LaunchServices
LibSystem
loginwindow
Mail
rsync
Safari
Syndication

Hmm...

Your the only one I've found on the internet that has had this show up in Software Update. Are you sure your not seeing the original 2006-002 (non-version 1.1)?

Does anybody else have it showing up in Software Update?

BTW: For PowerBook users the same thing is happening with the latest PowerBook Battery update v1.1. It doesn't show in Software Updates and people that are downloading it manually and trying to apply the update are getting a response that their system is already up to date.

I must have been the only one on the net who never got around to installing the 2006-002 security update before version 1.1 showed up. :)
