Just got a reminder for Security Update 2020-003 10.14.6, but it's not yet listed here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201222

Anyone downloaded it? No problems (like the ones with the previous Security Update)?

So far it messes up with the command to ignore Catalina upgrade
terminal command
sudo softwareupdate --ignore "macOS Catalina"
now I got
Ignoring software updates is deprecated.
The ability to ignore individual updates will be removed in a future release of macOS.

When a software update improves anything?!

softwareupdate(8) allows you to explicitly specify the items you want to install, thankfully.

Yes - so the Catalina nagging is back and Apple seems to have disabled any way to stop it.

[Edit: Problem was caused by an apparent errant edit of a taskgated .plist file. Nothing to do with Security Update 2020-003. Removing.]

I'm interested in this for Mac Pro 5,1
(especially concerning Airdrop Continuity Handoff)

But this, reading in terminal: "The ability to ignore individual updates will be removed in a future release of macOS."
will be removed 😟
Softwareupdate 8: which one is ?

I installed it and Safari now will not start, crashing immediately before opening any windows! So even if the issue is something subtle like, I enabled the developer menu, no way to fix that, is there? Can I edit safari preferences in a file somewhere? (Yes, I know I can, I just haven't done this before ...)

Installed yesterday through Software Update. After download, took about 12 minutes to install. Restarted numerous times and it did install the updated EFI firmware and the Safari update. So far no issues. (See my signature for rig details).

Waited this long for Catalina and will try in a few days for the new 10.15.5 version. Got my clone and doing a massive amount of prep. 🤞

I only downloaded and installed the Safari update, that seems to work OK.

So far running OK. Only observed WindowServer started eating more RAM. Used to be close to 500Mb right now close to 900MB.
Note: i reverse MBP from Catalina 10.5.5 where i have iBridge: 17.16.15289.5.1,0.
Right now it is iBridge: 17.16.15290.0.0,0.
This update iBridge ROM, but so far not a problem with T2 during update

I've been experiencing ye 'ole "Mouse cursor disappears" problem ever since the update. Using my trusty M570 Logitech trackball with a mac mini (late 2012).

Was going to go for the (up?)grade to Cat in a few days after my success with this Mojave update, but just found out that 10.15.5 broke the ability for cloning software, aka CCC (Bombich calls it an absolutely inexcusable BUG) and SuperDuper to boot from clone. So definitely no go on the upgrade. Wow, never had to wait 'til .6 version of a new OS. supa sketch...

CCC will now create a new bootable clone of 10.15.5 with the latest CCC version 5.1.18.

EDIT: OOPS, this seems to be OT for a thread about the latest Mojave Security Update.
