Using the System Preferences Software Update the install failed.
But I did get a window on my Dell 19" just as though I had held down the Option/alt key to choose the boot disk (from the several partions I have for different OS version.)
The Dell is plugged in to a DP port on the RX570 and the Apple Cinema dDisplay is plugged in to the DVI port. I am confused!
Normally the Cinema Display shows the login screen.
Normally there is a blank screen until the login.
Using Console I found the install log - no idea where to look in it to find the cause.
Suggestions solicited and welcomed.
