seeing grey screen when starting up ?

I put Mac in sleep mode and when I hit space bar to turn on Mac I get a small grey square and have to restart sometimes I have all blue screen,please tell me whats happening.

sounds like your HDD is on its way out.

All hard drives will eventually fail, some earlier than others.

perhaps a trip to the apple store, for peace of mind at least.

good side, its still under warranty.
