Hi! I own a mid 2009 17" MBP and would like to upgrade the memory from 4 to 8GB. I have 2 questions, would be great if u guys could help me out:
1- is it safe to buy ram from off the net like crucial.com or so on, are these gonna be "proper" or there is a chance that I will get some cheap aftermarket stuff? Here i found 2x4gb for 35 something pounds, and at apple it would cost me 320..
2- i still have half a year of applecare, so if i swap the ram do i loose the warranty?
Thanks a lot for your help!
