Seeking educated advice concerning MBP purchase

Hi there.

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 15" MBP and wanted to run a couple things by the pros here.

Here's what I plan on buying:

- 15" matte screen MBP

- 320GB 7200 RPM SATA HD

- 4GB RAM

I work in the television industry as an assistant editor so I don't think I need the 3.06GHZ upgrade.. Or do I? I buy a powerful laptop every 3-4 years and the current MBP seems like the best option for my next computer. Now, would upgrading to 3.06 be wise in the long run? Say, 1.5 years down the road?

I also plan on eventually upgrading to 8GB of RAM and then converting over to an Intel SSD. But until then, I feel the 320GB 7200 will be the best option for me.

So what do you all think? Any changes or suggestions?

I would hold off on the processor upgrade. Save the money, unless you are morally opposed to upgrading in three years. The difference is minimal at best. You seem like you have the right idea.
