Seems my HDD has died

I was browsing the internet just fine when it completely froze up on me. I restarted and now it won't boot into Mountain Lion. I called Apple support and they had me try 3 different resets. All it does it boot into a flashing grey folder with a question mark in the folder. I tried the Apple Hardware Test and it freezes 1 minute and 6 seconds into it, tried it 3 times. When it's booting up I can hear some clicking and scratching so I'm pretty sure it's my hard drive. First available appointment is tomorrow. If I just walk into store today do you think I could get it fixed by today? Or should I just wait until tomorrow?
