iOS Segue from Normal View controller to navigation controller

Hi Forum,

how would I segue from a normal view controller with lets say a button on it to a navigation controller?

The goal is to have lets say 4 buttons and each segue was to different navigation controller with different table views. Below is a screen shot. I have created an IB action for the button to segue when pressed but it does not happen.
