Select and drag in OS X 10.5.5

Does anyone else have a problem dragging multiple items after selecting them in 10.5.5?

Like if I want to move songs to iTunes I open the folder the files are in select the songs, and then drag them into iTunes. Only after I select the files, it takes multiple tries to drag the files.

Any thoughts?
 
You're probably holding down the modifier key. After you select the set of files just hold down on the mouse/trackpad and drag them.
