Selected Google but Bing shows in address bar?

Hi,

Just noticed that although I have Google selected in Safari Preferences/ Search Engine - when i do a search from the address bar the results show as coming from bing.com?

Is this normal or have i set something wrong?

Just to confirm, you are talking about changing it in this window?

I just swapped to Bing and Back to Google and tested both and it worked as expected.

Do you maybe have an extension or something installed that has taken over the default search setting?

Sometimes adware can do this. You might try running this adware scanner to see if it finds anything.
