This is an odd problem. I have a wireless network consisting of a linksys wireless G router which works fine over 4 computers, one of which is my MacBook Pro. Part of the network is extended with a Linksys range expander, which, again works okay over the 4 computers. The issue is with my iPod Touch. With the range expander, it can't get a proper IP address. Now, if I try turn off the expander and simply used the DHCP from the router, it works fine. But, for whatever reason, when the ranger expander is plugged in, the Touch gets the self assigned address of 169..... etc...
I realize of course that this must be an issue with the expander and or the Touch but have any of you had this problem? If so, what did you do to correct it? I expect it more so with the expander but I don't see anything in the way of a solution on the linksys site.
Help.
