Sell and upgrade?

I have a uMBP from late October 2008, got it the day the redesign came out. It's a 2.4 GHZ 15" uMBP with (upgraded) 4GB RAM and the 9600m gt and the 9400m chips.

Usually, I replace my laptop every 3 or 4 years, but I was thinking that instead of waiting 4 years and dropping 2k on a new laptop then, I could sell mine now and put 2 or 3 hundred bucks towards the refreshed models.

What do you think? How much is my laptop worth, any ideas? It's in great shape, but the bottom is a little scuffed up (no big or deep scratches though)

I got my MBP back in August and I will be selling and upgrading before I go to College. I am looking for 900-1000 for my MBP, specs are in my sig. How much did you drop on it when it was new?

I spent a little under 2500 after taxes for the redesigned base umbp when it came out. The base was $2,000 plus $349 for apple care, and a case, plus taxes is ~ $2500
