Hey guys, I have a few iPhone 4S's to sell and was wondering if it is better to sell them with Jailbreak 6.1.2 or Upgrade to iOS 7 on them?

Thanks guys!

Isn't 6.1.3 a tethered jailbreak? A bit un-userfriendly to sell. I'd restore it to stock 6.1.3 using Redsnow and your saved SHSH blobs (I am currently trying to find out via the ios 6 thread if that works, so if you are willling to test…!).

So selling 6.1.3 On its own not jailbroken and I guess giving the user the option is better huh?

Yes - exactly. Did you already jailbreak it? If you manage to restore back to stock 6.1.3 please report here on how it goes.

Its funny, one of my lines is on 6.1.3 not jail broken and the other is! So I do have to figure out how to restore it...you said redsnow?

You should be able to use a modification of this method:

http://www.ijailbreak.com/how-to/how-to-downgrade-ios-6-0-1-to-ios-5-1-1-a4-devices/

or

http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f812/how-downgrade-ios-6-ios-5-1-1-shsh-1544743/

The worst that can happen, if it fails is that you are forced to install ios 7, but I'd suggest that that is better than selling a j/b iphone (larger market better price!)

Sorry - just noticed you are on a 4S - those instructions are for iPhone 4 only!

Blah this whole time I was saying 6.1.3 but I meant 6.1.2!!

oh, lol! then, if you want to preserve the jailbreak, i recommend jailbreaking the device, then use either Semi-Restore or iLex RAT to bring the device back to a fresh, just-jailbroken state.

both of those tools bring a device back to factory condition, while preserving the jailbreak. They don't repair system files however, but i dont think you'll even need to worry about that. :)
