Verizon used to have a program where they give you an extra $100 off if you wait two years instead of 18 months. They scrapped the program but I guess they're still honoring it for people who signed up two years ago.

My friend has Verizon and she got her iPhone 5 for $149 because she had a $50 upgrade credit for waiting 2 years. its active on all her line... this program doesnt seem to be dead...

Only you can decide that. Do you want the phone or $500? Since you have android you could sell the phone and buy an S3 with change left over for cases and apps if you wanted to stay with that OS.

Verizon changed all their upgrad credits new every 2 in Jan/Feb 2011. So those who haven't upgraded after that time still get that last benefit. Than the perks are over.

Sorta of like AT&T getting rid of 12 month upgrades for certain users bacj in April/May 2011 and many people not realizing it.
