hi there i want to sell my old i phone i have restored the phone back to factory settings etc

I was just wondering is the data now 100% gone or are hackers still able to retrieve my data?

Reason why i ask is i will also be selling my ipad soon and it has all my banking info on it

If you do an online search for "What to do before selling or giving away my old iPhone," you will get a number of hits. Select the Apple site or a reliable site like iMore and follow the instructions to the letter and all of your data will be removed. I realise you have already erased your iPhone but, if you see anything in the instructions you did not do ensure you do them now even if it means setting up the device again temporarily.

As noted above, you should follow these instructions to ensure that the buyer doesn't run into Activation Lock etc. This will completely 'reset' the iPhone and will remove all of your data.

And for most people they might not be bothered to recover a used iPhone to check what’s left inside. Don’t need to worry too much.
For the reset, all you can do is following instructions provided by other members, and that’s pretty much it. Even if there are leftover data on your phone, you cannot do anything to them.

All data on every iPhone/iOS device is encrypted with "uncrackable" encryption. If the encryption key isn't available (passcode) then the data is just gibberish.
