Ok, so a mate offered me £250 for my PS3 and all the games I want don't come out next until year... Should I sell the PS3 and buy the iPhone:confused:

Thanks ;)

everyone will have a different opinion

also, £250 will easily cover the cost of the iphone, but not the contract

it all depends

what model is it? if its the 40gb sell it for at least 300 because thats more reasonable if its an 80gb then no! keep it because killzone 2 and home and resistance 2 and everything else.!!! also mgs4. but you can also just get the mgs4 bundle

It's the 40GB model, but I don't have any mobile at the moment and the iPhone looks like a good choice, the contract doesn't bother me ;)

Its ultimately your choice dude. But personally I would never sell my original 60GB PS3 for anything, even if i needed the cash.

If £250 for the PS3 without any games then you should sell. You can buy one new with games for a similar price online.

I probably will sell it, they might release a newer model that has PS2 backwards compatibility making the 40 gig model worthless :p

I've read that may come as a software upgrade to all current 40gb models later this year when Sony start selling PS2 games via the online store.

dont sell it. theres loads of unmissable games like Metal gear solid 4 and GTA iv with plenty more games coming out soon. plus it has a blu ray player

aaaargh dont say that. I am about to sell my 60Gb and all games etc. Not for an iphone though. I hardly play it and have twins on the way. The 60GB ones fetch fairly good money on ebay

Well, you know, you can play games on your PS3 but you can't on your iPhone. On the other hand, you'd have a job phoning anyone with your PS3. I suspect your decision rests on which of those is most important to you. :)

Ill go for the iPhone, I don't really seem to play my PS3 that much anyway.. Thanks for your help everyone:D

Totally off topic, but supposedly an October firmware update will add PS2 compatibility to the 40gb PS3. It'll all be done with software emulation the same way the Xbox 360 does it.
