Hi,

I have a 4GB Black Nano, (1st gen)
I have a friend that offered me $100 USD for it, I bought it for $250

There is a lot of scratches on it, but it works great.

The main reason im considering this, is because it has been personalized with my first and last name on the back of it. I figure this would make it hard to sell...

is what he offered a good deal?

Im considering buying a new 8 GB nano.

Thanks,

Well im going to get a 8 GB Nano, theres no way around that lol

I want a 2nd Gen, and I want a black one.

Im just debating on weather $100 is a good deal for the 1st gen Nano

i would call up an apple store and see if they still have any of the old nano's in stock and what they are selling them for....

its probably as good as you can get, consider the new 4GB is only $199 anyway.

considering it's scratched, engraved, and "outdated" now.. $100 isn't terrible. the "not-engraved" ones are going for around $170ish (not including shipping) on eBay still, though. i honestly don't know how yours would fair considering the engraving.

would be your call, i guess. you could try eBay and see how your's fairs, keeping in mind shipping and paypal/ebay fees, or you could take the safer route and go for the $100.

I would take that deal if I were you.

I just sold a 4GB white one with an invisible shield in perfect condition, and all i got for it was 165, and that was before the announcement.

the fact that it's engraved drives its value down quite a bit. take the $100.

why would your friend want a nano with your name engraved on it anyway?

He wants a Nano and he wasnt a cheap one, I think he also knows that its going to be hard for me to sell it on ebay with it engraved,

still seems strange to me.

i'm assuming that sentence should read "he wants a nano and he wants a cheap one."

I guess today is the day that EVERYBODY wants to point out my spelling mistakes! (on other forums too)

I'd sell it if I were you. I know its probably not a decent price but if your desperate to get rid of it then I would. Especially if its full of scratches
