Selling 2009 iMac, keep SSD or back to stock

Time to sell my 2009 iMac as its been sitting around since buying my 2017 iMac.

I was curious for any opinions on taking out my 256 MB SSD and putting back the SuperDrive or selling with the SSD. Would it be likely to sell for more than the SSD is worth if already upgraded?

It's a 2009 iMac 27" 3.06Ghz C2D, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 2TB HD, ATI Radeon HD 4670 w/256MB.

I know no one can tell me exactly how much an eBay auction will capture in advance, but I wasn't quite sure where to start the bidding for each configuration. The recent sales are all over the place.

Some buyers will appreciate the SSD and some the optical drive so it is a matter of six of one, half a dozen of the other. With the optical drive installed, and original drive would anticipate maybe $180.00, and the SSD maybe $40-50.00.

A friend recently picked up an i7 version. It was 450.00 Most of the bay auctions for topped out config were hovering around 450-500. Critical is screen condition. I had one and it developed the common problem many had and Apple replaced mine just before I sold it. The SSD might help sell it. I'd say it's not worth pulling. Good Luck

Your lucky the video card is still working. Those 2008-2011 machines are notorious for bad video cards. I sold my memory, HD and video card for more than what I could've gotten for the whole machine.
