selling 4s and buying 5

I have 16 GB FLAWLESS white 4s. Comes with a Mophie juice pack air. Im reading that the 5 will be $199 for the 16 gb. Is that $199 with a 2 yr subscription? How much would it be if I was just to go to Apple and buy the phone with no contract? If I can sell my 4s and buy the 5 and only spend $100, im way down.

Uh oh. Is this true? Where did you see this information? I sold my 4s and was planning on buying the 5 right at launch time. Guess I might be stuck using my 3gs for another month =/

History. Happened with the 4S and I believe the 4. This applies to the US though.

I have Sprint. Ill have to buy unlocked in order to use the 5 on Sprint if I buy from Apple? Wont Sprint sell the 5?

As long as I can buy it outright without a contract (even if it's locked) that's fine by me!
