I have a factory unlocked UK iphone 4 presently limerain JB'd with 4.1 on it... I'm selling it, but I'd like to keep the version 4.1 when I restore, so someone else may (if they buy and want to) jailbreak it as well.

What's the easiest way to do a software restore to 4.1 so it wipes all my data and restores to specs without forcing me to go to 4.2.1?

Thanks as always!

You must have old SHSH files to trick itunes into letting you restore / install any firmware other than the current (4.2.1). Thus, if you want 4.1, did you previously saved the 4.1 SHSH file?

Yep, everything 4.0, 4.1, 4.2b3 all saved

Download and run Tinyumbrella, make sure you phone is detected and highlighted, and then, click on "Save my SHSH". Download the 4.1 firmware file. In Tinyumbrella, click on "Start TSS Server," and then, restore with the 4.1 firmware file through iTunes.

Worked great, thanks so much once again! :)
