My old iPhone 4 had a cracked screen so I went to Apple today and got it replaced with a new (refurbished?) model. It has a SIM card in it but the guy at the store did not activate the phone.

Should I take out the SIM card before selling it (at which point it says to insert a valid SIM on the screen) or leave it in there?

Im in a little different situation.

A while ago I got an advanced replacement through Apple. The phone came with a SIM card, but I took it out and put my old one in.

I just got a new replacement iPhone4 to sale....Is it okay if I put that SIM card in that came from the brand new phone? That sim hasn't been activated.

Why not take it out and be safe?

I don't know, I don't want to freak people out who bid on eBay for it...they may think it's more difficult than someone else who is selling with SIM included.

If the SIM wasn't activated, then I think it's ok to sell it with the SIM installed right?
