Hi guys,

going to give over my iPhone 5 to its new owner tomorrow, I seen a thread here a few weeks ago about issues with Find My iPhone and the new owner not being able to activate their iPhone because of it?

I looked on Apple's website and all thats said is :

If you're using iOS 7 or later and have Find My iPhone turned on, your Apple ID and password will be required. After you provide your password, the device will be erased and removed from your account so that the next owner can activate it.

Is this all that needs done for the new owner to activate? Or do I have to go onto iCloud and delete the iPhone from there too?

Thanks

I've just turned off Find My iPhone on the device itself before erasing everything, will that be fine?

As I turned that off, the iCloud refreshed to show it not activate anymore and said "this iPhone cant be located or erased anymore".

reset you phone to factory and remove the sim card if possible.

find my iphone is only an issue if the phone is not wiped.
