Okay so i have a buyer for my iphone, and i want to know how this whole process works

Obviously i am going to need to restore the phone, but then what, do i need to do something with att?, my plan is to sell it now and be without a phone for a couple days/weeks till the new iphone comes out

also do i keep the SIM card?

Someone who has sold their iPhone please help me

Thanks!

Yes, keep your SIM. No, you don't need to tell anything to AT&T. Your account information is retained with your SIM. Stick it in a cheap AT&T pay as you go phone for the interim if you want. The phone will take on the attributes of the account you're already paying for. I keep a cheap pay as you go around for situations where I am afraid my iPhone will be damaged or if I should ever have to have the iPhone repaired. It works just fine with the iPhone's SIM. When you get the new phone you put your original SIM in. Both your original questions and this have been mentioned in many threads here.
