Selling iPhone use SIM to activate it?

When selling a iPhone after a OS reinstall any issue with putting your sim in it to activate it and show it working, or better to have the buyer use their sim?
 
I can't see an issue in activating the phone for them (as long as you take the SIM out, of course), but I'd just as soon as leave it as a fresh restore and let them set it up from step one.
 
When I'm done with my phone, I wipe it and either give it to a family member or donate it. The satisfaction is worth more than the money.
