im getting ready to sell my i4 on ebay for the verizon i4. my question is this. im currently jailbroke and unlocked, so i cant restore the phone. is there any other way to rid all my personal data? or what steps should i take? i know to take the sim card out and manually delete what i can..but any other info would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Of course you can restore it. But, do you have the SHSH saved for the iOS you're on?

cydia saved that info, but i dont know what to do with it. im a noob in terms of jb'ing

Once TinyUmbrella is open hit "Enter Recovery"

Run TSS Server (iTunes will close, reopen it)

Shift+Restore (PC) or Option+Restore (Mac) for your iPhone 4 IPSW

Set up iPhone as new

Jailbreak and unlock

finally got around to doing this but ran into a problem. I saved the i4 IPSW file to my desktop, but when i hit (shift+restore) and try to open the file, it says "no items match my searh." any ideas on what im doing wrong here?
