iPod touch Selling Ipod touch with Applecare Cover

I am selling my Ipod touch 2nd Generation on Ebay, with approx 10 months applecare cover. Is this cover transferable to the new owner or is this cover lost when i sell the ipod.

The AppleCare Protection Plan follows the device it was registered on. If the new owner wants to get a proof of coverage letter they'll need to call in to request a "transfer" of ownership.
