Selling mbp...is reinstalling OS X enough for security?

As the subject suggests, if I just reinstall the OS is that secure enough as related to wiping the hd?

Thanks. I also have a old windows vista machine I was going to attempt to sell.

Does just reinstalling vista to its out of the box state secure enough too?

I'd reformat the drive, then reinstall. That ensures no personal data can be recovered.

Ok thanks. I believe that it gives me the option to do that as part of the re-install.
