Hey all!

I am thinking of selling my iMac 5K 27-inch, 2019.

More specs:
3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5
Radeon Pro 570X 4 GB
24 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
256 GB APPLE SSD

It is working fine, but I just got an MBA M2 (entry model) now. Is now a good time to sell this computer? It is 4 years old, and macOS Sonoma may be the last OS for this machine.

I was thinking about selling this one and buying Studio Display to hook my MBA to it. I think Studio Display has become kind of a base for everything else. Maybe I will buy a Mac Mini M2 someday, but for now, my new MBA would suffice.

I know the iMac is still perfectly fine and it covers all my needs, but I can say that this MBA M2 is even more powerful. Also, now I can still get some money for this iMac to cover the expenses for the Studio Display.

What do you think about that move?

Thank you for your thoughts.

Sold. I bought a Studio Display and currently have a Macbook Air M2 (base model).

I am also thinking of buying a desktop computer: Mac Mini M2 Pro (base model).

Then I should be fine for a few years.
