I Love L.A.
I am eligible for an iPhone upgrade. I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan. If I sell my iPhone and walk into an AT&T store to activate an old phone that I have, while I wait for the new iPhone, will I lose my grandfathered plan? Any advice would be much appreciated.

There would be no need to "activate" your old phone.

Just move your SIM card from your iPhone into the old phone. It should work fine.

But, the old phone does not have a micro sim like the iPhone 4. I would have to go into an AT&T store to get cellular coverage.

Simple, just got to an AT&T store and ask for a new sim card. did it before after i had to use an older iPhone, i didn't even have the iPhone on me. got a new sim card then came home and put it in the old iPhone. worked and i still have unlimited date.

Thanks for the heads up.
