So I have been selling my mac pro in order to save up for the new mac pro coming out soon. I initially got a buyer for $2500, but things have fallen through.

My computers specs are as follows

8 core 2.8
2 gigs memory
320 gig hd
airport card
8800 gt and ati card both installed (bought both with purchase)
apple care

computer cost with taxes around 3500 out the door. what would be a good price to sell the computer at? i see guys on craigslist selling 8 core 3 ghz with 6gigs memory, 500 gig hd and 8800gt for 2k, which i think is nuts...agreed?

Take a quick look on eBay for similarly specced machines and see for how much they go out the door ... that's what it's worth.

There are of course websites like Mac2Sell, but the estimates are usually not very realistic.

Your Mac Pro is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it, so your best bet would be to check eBay.

You may struggle to get $2,500 for it, but should expect more than $2,000. That craigslist price is probably for the 2007 Mac Pro and that is a fair price, although lower than one might go for on eBay.
