Where is the best/cheapest place to buy a mbpr at and where can I sell my 13" 2014 base model air for the most amount of money? Thanks in advance.

Best buy has the absolute best deal right now on the base model 2015 MBPR.

1,099 which is $200 off. Combine that with at 10% movers coupon from USPS. That will be a REALLY good deal for someone in the market for at least the 128GB SSD base model.

crazy to think people are still choosing the 1399 rMB over that deal^^

I played with both in store and liked the feel of the pro better.

As far as bang for buck absolutely. I bought a MBPR the other week but ultimately returned it. ONLY BECAUSE....

I found a 11" MBA 2013 in GOOD condition for $450 and i ONLY wanted a notebook for around the house to browse sites, and use while laying in bed watching TV or the couch. I just don't like iPads since i like a keyboard and the track pad. Plus i have a iPhone 6 plus so its redundant to me. Yes the retina was nice but ii watch all my streams/movies on my 65" TV. The the MBA serves as a couch surfing machine.

The MBPR is still a very light machine for its power. But got a little warm on me while laying in bed or the couch and was a "tad" cumbersome, especially since i now have the 11" air.

Best part, $900 plus back in my pocket for other electronics etc :) For me it just mad no sense to spend that much at the moment when i found the 2013 MBA for $450 like new. I would have never came close to using the power of the MBPR. Probably would have never opened iMovie lol.

But as a main machine the MBPR is MUCH better value than the MBR IMO.

I don't blame you. I'm still in shock that you got that awesome of a deal for a wonderful computer. Wow just wow. Major props.

Same, it was a girl who had moved to my area which is PA from NY. She had it listed for $600 originally. And when i asked about "wiggle room" she said she would do $500. And than hit me with the $450 if i bought today and picked it up being she still didn't have a car moving from NY.

So i was like ALRIGHTY, can't pass that up lol . I am sure she probably knew nothing about eBay value or "resell" value. I usually peek at craigslist daily to see whats going on.

Just a week ago i picked up a 2009 aluminum iMac for my kid, he's 11. GOOD condition with original keyboard and mouse. Basically for school projects etc for his room. Guy was looking for $195 or $100 and trade for a Xbox 360. I so happen to have his old 360 laying around collecting dust, "surprised it hasn't died yet" lol. I got him a Xbox One he plays on now. So basically $100 for the iMac. Popped 4GB extra GB of ram i had laying around and its zippy with the core 2 duo!;)

Always deals on craigslist! For those in jams etc. Today someone was selling a iMac from 2011 NEVER OPENED, for $500 cash! I texted and it basically sold immediately lol. I have fun buying things, playing with them and just re-selling if i feel i don't need or want it lol. Bad habit :)

I went to Best Buy yesterday and all models of the 13" rMBP are on sale, the only difference being the size of the SSD for the first 2 models and the third model has an upgraded processor.

so it is 2.7/128/8, 2.7/256/8, 2.9/512/8, I bought the 2.7/256/8 for myself.

How long does this deal last? And on craigslist I keep getting scammers contacting me about how they "are out of town" and would like to paypal me instead.
with deals this sweet....u have to pretty much buy as soon as you can as it can be gone at anytime. i would assume until saturday? but u never know...

you ever used eBay?

A couple of times. Not crazy about paying them fees though.

Be patient, a good offer will come. Just ignore the low ballers. I sold my 2014 MBPR a few months back for $900 locally.

You have to be patient with CL. You'll get a lot of lowball offers, and you may not be able to get the full amount you're asking, but it can work out.

Thats a hell of a deal with the online price + EDU + Movers Coupon.

Worth putting it on a credit card while you wait for your other one to sell on CL.

i've never liked craigslist myself...i always do eBay.

but if you don't like eBay...your options are limited

How long would it take for me to receive my money through PayPal? I'm in a huge hurry to get this best buy deal before it expires. I haut picked up my movers coupon. I am a student but I've heard a lot of times they won't stack.

well there is also more risk in doing ebay/paypal than a local sale. chances are...unless you list ur price super low it will take a bit of time to sell on eBay. Unless you have a ton of feedback and sell stuff often. Not quick enough, to list, sell, receive the money by saturday.

can anyone confirm how they know this deal ends saturday?

i don't know when it ends, but usually places run their deals from Sunday-Saturday. Heck, this deal could end tonight for all we know. When it's this good of a deal you have to jump on it immediately IMO.

I am currently asking $850 for it. I may have to drop the price a bit.

It isn't in the weekly ad so maybe thats a good sign?
