Hi Guys, Sorry if its already been posted

But i have someone on ebay willing to purchase my 2g iphone but because he lives in the same area well about 5 miles away, he want to bring the cash for me to close it early? The only thing is, this is my first sale on ebay and i dont want to do anything wrong, resulting in bad feedback?

I thought i wasnt allowed to do this, can you answer me this?

1. Can i close it early if he offers to pay by Paypal?

2. Will i get bad feedback if i close it early and he pays by Paypal?

Thanks

Is there another high bidder?

nope not as of yet it has only been on there 2 days, had 1 bid so far, but i think he likes the fact that i am near-by so is offering me just £20 less of my reserve price.

I just dont want to get in to trouble with ebay and have bad feedback on my first sale on there, thats all

Quite frankly you can close early — if he is the only bidder and you are OK with the price…

However do NOT accept PayPal if he picks it up in person or you deliver in person.

PayPal/eBay will not accept any evidence from you like a signed delivery note etc if you have received payment by PayPal.
They will only accept a Mail or courier delivery slip (signed for) as evidence of delivery should your buyer turn round and say they didn't receive or any other problem.

In person = cash only.
Delivery by Mail/Courier = PayPal only.

i have it as a reserve on ebay for £250.00, i know that it might be less but just thought that was a good price to put the reserve at

Thanks guys, i think i will tell this person that i will sell it now to him for what he is asking but the payment will have to go through paypal and then i will deliver it to him straightaway.

Does that sound ok, can he give me bad feedback for that?

Thanks

Why not just have him use the buy-it-now. But then pay you in person? Meet him at YOUR bank. Get the money, and deposit it immediatly, and tada! no risk of robbery.

:apple:How much are you selling it for? I've got people willing to buy mine but I can't come up with a justified price...:apple:

A friend of mine just sold her 8GB for $350. Another sold her 4GB for $250, I sold my girlfriends cracked 8GB for $180.

If you decide not to sell it to him I will be more than happy to take it off your hands for ~£230-£250, providing it's not jailbroken (I shall be in Swansea for the next week, from tomorrow) :)

what is wrong with having it jailbroken then? I thought jailbroken just means that you can have installer on your iPhone. or is that me just being thick, lol

sorry, i didnt even realise i had put that in my signature, was so busy thinking about getting the 2Generation iPhone lol

All changed now

Nothing at all! I just want mine non-jailbroken so I don't have to worry about Apple updates :)... As I'm on o2 anyway, I'd be using an o2 PAYG SIM, so I've no need for it to be jailbroken!
